Why Should I Choose Criminal Science?

Criminal Science is a double major program bringing together Criminal Justice and Biochemistry, with a minor in Forensic Science, that will provide you with many opportunities in the legal, criminal justice, forensic, and science fields. The program is designed to be completed in four years.


What Will I Learn Through Criminal Science?

Through our cross-disciplinary Criminal Science program, you will become well-versed in fields ranging from evidence and criminal law to medicinal chemistry, toxicology, and analytical chemistry. You'll be able to use a variety of chemical and biochemical tools in our laboratories and as you embark on research with faculty members.


What Can I Do With Criminal Justice and Biochemistry Degrees?

You will be prepared for a variety of employment opportunities, or you can continue on to graduate school, law school, or medical school. Past graduates have gone on to work for employers such as Pfizer, the Rhode Island Department of Health, and many higher learning institutions.
